Hopping on the plane to Las Vegas I wasn’t sure what to expect out of my first SEMA show. Though 8K has been to many industry events they have all been in the off road world and a much smaller scale than SEMA. Walking into the show on Wednesday afternoon it was pure chaos, in a good way!
Before even going into the halls of the show you are immediately drawn to the glimmer of the beautiful vehicles outside of the Las Vegas convention center. Going inside it is a bit over whelming. Eye candy and horsepower everywhere.
Looking at the map this was just the tip of the iceberg. There were more than 6 other halls, tents and parking lots full of amazing things. No surprise I gravitated toward the off road section. There new products, old products and some of the coolest rigs I have seen as well as iconic vehicle that I have followed for years where on display.
In the center of all the convention halls was the ford donut factory where pro drifters were ripping donuts nonstop. I have never wanted a supercharger more having a vehicle with that kind of power and tires to burn (literally). I could see a recipe for losing my license.
I got to see a lot of great innovations in the industry and as 8K continues its growth this was an event not to miss. I made lots of good friends and connections at this event and look forward to it next year.
